A Power Saw - Golden Opportunity with Grandchildren

In the presence of my daughter, I had mentioned my intent on redoing our wooden fence, after all, post are already in place, no climbing, no rush, nothing heavy... and I have the van. I have learned to take my time... but I still have these skills. Being the oldest boy at 14 after rebuilding the family home with my brother after hurricane Betsy in 64... couldn't help it.

Our home in the lower ninth ward of NOLA wasn't like my wife's family (yeah, she's ninth ward too, don't let the yellow fool you baby!) It turns out that the same agents that were selling homes in Pontchartrain Park (read Black but more bourgie) were also selling in the lower nine.

Boo's mom and dad, and a lot other families bought pre or custom built from a developer. My family built our own home from scratch. My first and one of my fondest memories was when my still spry grandfather, on a ladder. asked me to reach him his hammer that had fallen. I was three years old, but I remember how proud we both felt because, just from hanging around, I knew what he was talking about. We been doing this!

The power miter saw was on sale, had great reviews, and can do anything you need to rebuild a wood fence.

I got teary eyed thinking about these kids learning stuff no school will teach them. No only that, but that saw, a power drill, the knowledge and a few hand tools could turn into a fence building business, in hurricane land where wood rots all the time. Hell, all he. she or they would need is an old work truck... HuH... and papa just bought one of them.
Not only that possibility, but every time they pass the house, whether I'm still in it or not, they will see our fence.
